Temperature control is good. Temperature AND air quality control? Even better.
The level of control offered with a Carrier system goes well beyond changing the temperature of your home. Here are some of the products available that will help you actually improve the air quality in your home as well.
If you’ve been holding your breath for cleaner air, the wait is over. Our state-of-the-art air purifier systems trap and kill bacteria, viruses, mold spores, allergens and other pollutants in the conditioned air—and keep them out of the air your family breathes.
The award-winning Infinity® air purifier, for example, cleans indoor air as many as 8 times an hour with an enviable MERV rating of 15 and removes pollutants from the air that are up to 18,000 times smaller than the head of a pin. What does it all mean? You and your family can breathe easy. Here’s a video that explains how the Infinity air purifier works so well:
Fan-powered humidifiers are engineered to quietly blow moisture directly into your ductwork and spread comforting humidity throughout your home when the seasons have turned dry. Our humidifiers work by flowing water between electrodes to create steam, which is then dispersed into the ductwork.
Steam output humidifiers require an additional unit to be fastened to your existing furnace, and are often the best choice for larger homes, or when you want more precise control over humidity. Whole-house humidifiers, on the other hand, simply use the blower motor of your furnace to drive moisture vapor into your home’s ductwork. Also available are our bypass humidifiers, which are easy to maintain and require only an annual water panel change.
Our UV lamps mean lights out for mold and bacteria. They kill the organisms that can grow on the indoor coil of your cooling system. Eliminating these baddies does more than help improve your air quality, it increases your system performance as well. That’s because when mold is allowed to build up on your coils, airflow can be reduced by as much as 9%.
Our innovative ventilators are designed to remove stale air from your home, while keeping valuable energy from escaping. Not only do all of our ventilators work quietly and efficiently to bring fresh air into your home all year long, they pre-condition the incoming air to better match the inside air temperature.
Knowing the product that’s right for you is as easy as knowing your address. Around the Great Lakes where warmer weather isn’t around as long, a heat recovery ventilator is better suited to keep your air refreshed. Despite the name, it will still pre-condition air to cool it in summer and warm it in winter before it enters the house.
CARBON MONOXIDE ALARMS
Carbon monoxide is a colorless, tasteless, odorless and highly toxic gas. The Carrier® CO alarm uses sophisticated sensor technology to detect and record levels of CO. You can monitor the current CO level in your home on a large, easy-to-read digital display. When dangerous levels of CO are present, a loud, audible alarm alerts you and your family automatically.
